I would like to quit smoking for a number of reasons. First and foremost is i have a 5 yr old son who i  would like to see grow up and be a part of his life and be the best example i can for him. I would also like to be there for years to come with my future wife. And i dont want to go through all the terrible things smoking causes. But i am addicted a nd would like help to break this disgusting habbit, but i find it hard to do alone.

My opinion on smoking/nicotine addiction is that it's impossible to do alone. Support is something everyone needs, especially when making a major lifestyle change. We're gonna be so much better off once the smokes are out of the picture. Nice to meet you!

My opinion on quitting is it is hard but you can do it if you really want to. I decided to quit about 2 weeks ago. I could not completely quit until Saturday. I have now been smoke free for 2 days going on 3. I have no help right now. I walk my dog and read when I get the craving for a cigarette. I spend time on the computer to keep my hands busy too. I also pen pal to keep the hands busy. My biggest fear is gaining weight now that I quit. The food smells so good that it makes me want to eat more. I force myself not to eat. I have not decided to call the quit line yet but may do so in the near future. The biggest problem with my quitting is that my husband will not quit and that makes it rough on me when he comes home at night. I have no problem during the day when I am alone but it is when he is home.
